and scrubland. For a more cultural experience, the Museum of Western Australia has a
stunning array of exhibits and artefacts. Natural history, Aboriginal traditions, dinosaurs,

Rent a car and take a trip down to Perth’s trade port, Freemantle. This bustling and pretty
little town has a few excellent restaurants and bars and some great colonial artefacts. You
could also tour further up the coast and with a few weeks to spare head to the astounding
Ningaloo Reef or south to the lush Margaret River wine region, which also has a thriving
surf culture.
