If the great British weather isn’t on its best behaviour there are plenty of things to do in Southport. One of the stranger things may well be the award winning British Lawnmower Museum, with over 300 rare and restored exhibits including lawnmowers of the rich and famous – I don’t suppose they miss them! For something more traditional try the Atkinson Art museum, or Silcocks Funland which is full of the penny-in-the-slot machines that are so peculiar to British seaside culture.
