The most southerly tip of Florida, the city floats between Miami and Havana on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico. Another superb attraction is the Key West Aquarium, which has an amazing display of sharks, sawfish and barracuda. Mallory Square is the place to head for shopping in the day and parties after sundown. Yet another famous Hemingway landmark is Sloppy Joe’s Bar, where you can match the notoriously hard-living author’s taste for rum!
